The collaboration with Ecotype gives Holmen’s customers access to Skogshubben, a web-based service that provides forest owners with an overview and more detailed information about their forest property. Skogshubben collects and analyses forestry data from multiple open sources and satellites, and presents the results in a user-friendly interface with smart features. This gives forest owners a sound basis for making decisions on actions and how they manage their forest.
“With today’s rapid pace of development, maintaining a competitive position means finding collaborations that boost our capabilities. Ecotype complements us very well, with its experience and knowledge of how to translate advanced forestry data into useful information in a modern and easy-to-navigate interface. I’m enthusiastic about launching this partnership, as it will enable us to further strengthen the customer experience and offer competitive services to forest owners,” says Andreas Rastbäck, Director business development at Holmen Forest.
The service will be gradually rolled out during the year, with customer access expected at some point in 2024.
